From September 9 – 12, The Switch presented its complete offering for the marine industry at the SMM 2014 Hamburg exhibition at a joint stand with WE Tech Solutions of Vaasa.
SMM is the world’s leading maritime fair. This year marked a record turnout with more than 2,100 exhibitors from 67 countries and 50,000 industry visitors from around the world.
According to Mika Koli, Business Manager for Marine: “The exhibition had a very upbeat spirit. There’s a great deal of interest in our permanent magnet machines and frequency converters.”
“It’s nice to notice that many companies are starting to know us since we’ve been in marine for 1.5 years now. We’re not totally new any longer. We have made our mark,” he continues. “And we’re building a good reputation.”
Mika also believes that The Switch offers players in the marine industry a true option to respond to the increasing pressure of international regulations.
