November 22–24, 2016, Nuremberg, Germany – As part of the Yaskawa stand, The Switch participated at SPS IPC Drives 2016, one of the largest international exhibitions for electric automation technology, which has been held for over the past 20 years.
At this year’s event in Nuremberg, over 1,600 exhibitors from around the world presented their products and services from such fields as electric drive systems and components, control technology and industrial software. Plus, SPS IPC Drives provided its visitors with a comprehensive overview of individual components as well as complete solutions for electrical automation.
Giulio Martorelli represented The Switch and the company’s complete turbo drive package at the stand. Most traditional high-speed drive systems lack efficiency and are large and bulky. The Switch has been fine-tuning a solution that addresses these problems while being suitable for any challenging turbo application. This is because the gearbox has been eliminated, and the solution can offer adjustable speed regardless of the application. Those attending the Yaskawa stand at the event got a closer look at the turbo drive solution and found out more about its remarkable energy efficiency.
For The Switch, being present at this exhibition was a great way to demonstrate synergy and interaction within the greater Yaskawa family. Moreover, it gives the company and its solutions more visibility in the industrial market
According to Mikko Lönnberg, Director of Product Management and Marketing at The Switch, the exhibition was especially active this year. An ever-increasing number of businesses dealing with drives, motion, automation and robotics has helped grow the popularity of the event.
A high-profile and distinguishable stand featuring a new design with triangles and irregular rectangles very well supported Yaskawa’s sharp business positioning. The wide range of novel and diversified solutions presented at the stand, as well as an exciting live demo of a Yaskawa’s innovative robot, attracted a crowd of visitors the entire time.
